July 2011 -

Blogging....Oh how I wish I had more time to blog. So, instead, I will just have to settle for a month overview at a time until someday I have spare time again :)
July went by so fast but it was definitely fun.

Brinley enjoyed VBS at our church and we still are listening to "Pandamania" songs!

Chad and I took the girls out to Melba's 4th of July parade. My girls made out like candy bandits. It really is a family friendly parade!

4th of July evening spent enjoying grandma's neighborhood firework festivities. We enjoyed meeting Carol's new boyfriend and spending the evening with some friends.
Brinley also, had fun with sparklers for the first time!!!

A special treat was seeing my cousin and her family. She was here with her two kids last year around the time Karli was born. Her husband, was deployed to Afghanistan for a little over 7 months. So, it was nice for my kids to get to meet him! Chad and I were even able to break away for an evening for a double date with Pat and Monica. Chad enjoyed beating everyone at miniature golf and the rest of us enjoyed ice cream in his honor then we ended the evening with the girls losing horribly at 3 rounds of Sequence.

Brin and Cousin Olivia waiting to get doused at Settlers Park

Karli and Cousin Calvin
Walz Cousins! Minus: Tosha, Sharee, Katie and Cousin Annie and her family

Swim Lessons at the Caldwell pool. Brin could not get enough! That is her jumping in.

Karli's first swim lesson experience and she loves the water. She even did the water slide everynight. Here she is with Grandma!

The girls with DAD

Chad and I have only left Idaho one time previous to this Lagoon trip for our anniversary. We had such a blast! The ride in the background that goes straight up then drops is called, "WICKED". That was by far our favorite. Chad got me addicted to sitting in the front row. Coming in a close second favorite ride was the Samurai!

Leaving Lagoon after spending 12 hours there

We stopped for lunch at Shoshone Falls on our way home

And of course, the travel souvenirs for our girls and a deck of cards for us.

This really didn't look like much but we also celebrated A LOT of birthdays and had our calendar packed with things to do.

The craziness of JUNE!

June has been a crazy month. So in honor of craziness and the last day. Here are some picture highlights. We have celebrated 7 birthdays, 1 death and a "Going Home Party"/funeral and somehow figured out how to tutor two days a week, have Brin in VBS, and take a week long math class for continuing ed credits.

June 1st- Brinley 4 years.

June 4th- Brin's princess party
To start it off is Brinley's birthday on June 1st. We had a family party for her on her birthday then followed it up with a friends princess party. For a long time it was going to be princess and knights but we changed it to princesses this year. She had a fantastic and memorable time.

Then we have a birthday on my side of the family on June 2, 3, 4. On top of that Chad's Great Uncle Ronald died on the 4th and we had his funeral on the 11th.

June 5th
My folks took Chad the girls and I out to eat at the Orchard House, in Marsing, for dinner on Sunday night. We had a wonderful time outside eating and letting the girls play around the man-made creek.

To top the evening off. As we were getting the girls loaded into the car and Papa and Nana were saying their good-byes. Brin yells out the window to my folks. "Goodbye! Have fun playing sex!" Chad and I were appalled and laughing hysterically at what just came out of her mouth. Chad asked, through laughing, "What does that mean Brinley?" She said you know...then yelled it out the window again to my folks. And told Chad and I, "sex...throwing them into the water". At that point we figured out that meant STICKS!!!

June 6th- Stephanie's Birthday
My own birthday is next on the 6th. This year my husband surprised me with a beautiful necklace with our girl's names on it. I love it!
These were our new family members that also joined our household on my birthday. So needless to say, after 3 weeks with no washer/dryer or laundry room. I really looked forward to doing laundry on my birthday. Yes, I did about 10 loads that day :)

June 15th- Chad's mom, Carol's birthday
This year Chad's siblings took Carol to dinner at P. F. Chang's without the kids. It was a nice evening hanging out with Carol, Joel, Shawn, Candice and us.

June 19th-Father's Day spent playing at the Lake Lowell West park
We celebrated Father's Day by the girls going to pick out a tree or bush of Dad's choice and then planting it together. Chad's choice-a bush for our back corner of our backyard. Then at 5 we headed to Lake Lowell for a BBQ dinner and some kite flying, track ball playing, relaxing evening. We had a wonderful time.

June 24th- Karli's 1st birthday.

June 26th-Karli's party

June 29th- God and Country Festival
This has become an annual event for our family. My girls have seen the fireworks from this every year of their life. It was LATE but in the long run, we felt it was worth it. :)

New favorite baby gift

Chad's cousin just had a baby in March. She was always so thoughtful and made gifts for my girls so I thought I would make her a couple of things in return.
My favorite item was this onesie.

Thanks MoM!

My mom painted these for my girl's bedroom. I LOVE them. These are just two of the three, but it means so much to me that she took the time to paint them pictures. Just in case I haven't told you already. I LOVE THEM! So cute.

Best Saying Ever! -by my 3 year old

Favorite Line Ever (said tonight by my 3 year old):
While at the dinner table tonight; Chad laughing at Steph...
Brinley says, "Daddy don't laugh at mommy!!"
Chad, "Why not?"
Brinley, "Because she is a GENIUS!"
Chad laughing asks, "What does that make me?"
Brinley, "A MAN!"
...Now who is laughing, Chad?
